Reverend Dr. Jimmy C. Haynes
The Reverend Dr. Jimmy C. Haynes, 85, formerly of Hartford, CT passed away in Plano, Texas on April 15, 2013. He was predeceased by his wife, Mattie Haynes in 1997.
Dr. Haynes was the Pastor of Christ Temple Church of God in Christ, Hartford, CT for 35 years and Greater Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, Kansas City, MO for 16 years. He retired from the pastoral ministry in 2003.
He is survived by two daughters, Sybil Turner (Steven) of Texas and Mary Holmes of California; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, James Haynes of California and a host of relatives and friends.
The calling hours are on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Services will be held at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, 691 Windsor Avenue, Windsor, CT. The Rev. Dr. Robert A. Young, officiating. The Interment will be at the Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Avenue, Hartford, CT on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 10:30 a.m.
